Closing Ceremony

The time has come. Sadie is rounding 2 years old and has still be using her "Binky". It has been a very dear friend to her. We thought they would part ways when she turned one but she clearly wasn't ready. We gave it a good shot when she turned 18 months but that didn't go well at all. Seth and I decided when we got back from Florida we would get rid of binky forever.

Last night we had the closing ceremony. We got her binky and had her hold it while Seth cut the tip off. Then we had her walk it to the garbage and toss it. We explained to her that she was a big girl and didnt need it anymore. She was very willing to throw it away however she spent some time by the garbage making sure it was broken and truly saying good bye.

Last night was a little rough but she napped well today and we are hoping for a wonderful night.

Bye Binky

My Favorite Part

The beaches are lovely. The water is warm and clear. The sand it white and soft. The company is sweet and true. What better way to spend your vacation than under the sun in one of Gods most sacred places. WONDERFUL!

Destin Commons

We spent monday at the Destin Commons. Mandy works at the "The Candymaker" (Yummy). The commons is an outdoor mail with an awesome play area for kids and this amazing water area. After the kids spent a few hours playing in the water we went see "ice age" the kids all enjoyed themselves very much!

InvisableTimer Came To Florida

Linkin and InvisableTimer have been friends for some time. Linkin was kind enough to invite him to Florida with us. He was the best friend a mom could ask for to bring on a trip. He was quiet, He didn't cost me anything, and he knew just when to come and go. Here is a picture of Linkin and InvisableTimer at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Equals One Fun Party!
Ian and Heather had all 12 kids at their home this past weekend to celebrate Zane's 6th Birthday. I was an amazing birthday party and a wonderful weekend. From Pankcake Breakfasts to water balloon fights and a awesome trampoline. My kids had a wonderful time. Each kid asked Heather at one time or another on Sunday what we would be doing tomorrow. When it the mention of them returning to their parents home that was a strange look on their face as if they had no intention of leaving the Grahams home. It was fun!

Rodeo Dance Party

Seth and I took the kids to the rodeo on Thurday. In the kids area there was a "Dance Competition". Linkin and Sadie decided to go up and do some dancing. It was great fun. Linkin was very disappointed that he didn't win the competition but he gave it a good shot. In his own words "I dance my heart out". It was so much fun.

You Get What You Get And You Don't Throw A Fit

Or is it You Get What You Get So Don't Throw A Fit? Either way it works, right? Funny, the way things in life work. It seems like you put things to rest in life and they often pop back up later. The thing I have found about this is usually when they pop back up you are unprepared. It almost throws you back in time. Back to the time the you originally dealt with the issue. It brings back a whole lot of emotion from the past.

For example, if you have bad eye sight and you go get glasses at the doctors office you solved the problem. Nope! The following year you have to go back because now your glasses don't get the job done. Right? So you dealt with the problem but sure enought it comes back.

Ladies, we all know every month we deal with the same issue. We think we dealt with it but sure enough it comes back the following month.

Anyone trying to lose a few pounds? I know I deal with a few extra pounds. I seem to get rid of them, solving the problem but then at some other point in my life I am dealing with them again.

Things come our way and we deal with them most of the time solving the problem and then moving on. How do you handle it when these old issues return?

Apparently You Don't Throw A Fit!

If you are related to Rebekah Mott you "Buck up and deal with it".

If you are related to my mom you don't go to the hospital unless it is bleeding.

If you are related to me you go to the doctor after every TCL show you watch. This week is was on OCD. LOL!

If you are related to Linkin you feel blessed everyday that he is a part of your life and know that God sent him here to teach you the true meaning of God's love and to see his hand in your life daily.
